Google Search Console DNS Verification via cPanel, Hostinger & GoDaddy

Google Search Console DNS Verification via cPanel, Hostinger & GoDaddy

A) Verify via cPanel

1. Get the DNS verification record from Google

  • Open Google Search Console
  • Click “Add property”
  • Choose “Domain” (not “URL prefix”)
  • Enter your domain (example: example.com) and continue
  • Google will show a TXT record. Copy the whole value:
    google-site-verification=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

2. Add the TXT record in cPanel

  • Log in to cPanel for the hosting account
  • Go to Domains → Zone Editor
  • Find your domain and click “Manage”
  • Click “Add Record” → choose “TXT”
  • Fill in:
    • Name/Host: Usually @ or your domain itself
    • TTL: Leave default (or set 300/3600)
    • TXT Data: Paste the copied value from Google
  • Save/Add Record

3. Verify in Search Console

  • Go back to Google Search Console
  • Click “Verify”
  • If it fails, wait a few minutes and try again

B) Verify via Hostinger (hPanel)

1. Get the DNS verification record from Google

  • Open Google Search Console
  • Click “Add property” → Choose “Domain”
  • Enter your domain and continue
  • Copy the TXT record value:
    google-site-verification=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

2. Open DNS settings in Hostinger

  • Log in to Hostinger
  • Go to “Websites” and select your domain
  • Open “Dashboard” (hPanel)
  • Find DNS / Nameservers or DNS Zone Editor

3. Add the TXT record

  • Select record type: TXT
  • Fill the fields:
    • Name/Host: @
    • TXT Value: Paste the Google verification string
    • TTL: Leave default
  • Save the record

4. Verify

  • Wait for DNS propagation (few minutes to hours)
  • Click “Verify” in Search Console

C) Verify via GoDaddy

1. Get the DNS verification record from Google

  • Open Google Search Console
  • Click “Add property” → Choose “Domain”
  • Enter your domain and copy the TXT record value

2. Open DNS management in GoDaddy

  • Log in to GoDaddy
  • Go to “My Products” or “Domains”
  • Find your domain and click “DNS” or “Manage DNS”

3. Add the TXT record

  • Click “Add Record” → Choose TXT
  • Fill in:
    • Host: @
    • TXT Value: Paste the Google verification string
    • TTL: Leave default
  • Click “Save”

4. Verify

  • Go back to Search Console and click “Verify”
