Configure Microsoft Outlook 2007

Follow the given steps to configure your e-mail account in Microsoft Outlook 2007.

  1. Launch Microsoft Outlook
  2. From the main menu, click on Tools and then select Account Settings…

  1. On the E-mail tab, click New…

  1. Check the box labeled "Manually configure server settings or additional server types" and click Next

  1. Select Internet E-mail and click Next

  1. Enter information for E-mail Accounts
    • Your Name: Enter the name as you want your recipients to see when they get your mails
    • E-mail Address: Enter your complete e-mail address. For example, myname@mydomain.com
    • Account Type: Select POP3
    • Incoming mail server: Enter the POP3 address. For example, mail.mydomain.com
    • Outgoing mail server (SMTP): Enter the SMTP address. For example, mail.mydomain.com
    • User Name: Enter your complete e-mail address. For example, myname@mydomain.com
    • Password: Enter the password for your e-mail account
    • Click More Settings…

  1. Click on the Outgoing Server tab and check the box labeled "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication". Select the option Use same settings as my incoming mail server.

  1. Click OK.
  2. Click Next and then click Finish.
