Configure Microsoft Outlook 2003

Follow the given steps to configure Microsoft Outlook 2003 with your POP3 e-mail account. Before you start the configuration, you will require:

  1. E-mail address
  2. Password for your E-mail account
  3. POP3 address (usually mail.yourwebsitename.com where 'yourwebsitename' is your actual domain name)
  4. SMTP address (usually mail.yourwebsitename.com where 'yourwebsitename' is your actual domain name)

Alternately, you can also contact your Service Provider to get the Email account, password, POP3 and SMTP addresses.

Configuring Outlook 2003

  1. Launch Microsoft Outlook
  2. Click on Tools menu
  3. Click on E-mail Accounts…

  1. On the E-mail Accounts wizard window, select "Add a new e-mail account" and click Next

  1. For your server type, select "POP3" and click Next

Server Type

  1. On the Internet E-mail Settings (POP3) window, enter your information as follows:

    Enter your mail server and SMTP details
    Incoming Mail (POP3) Server: mail.yourwebsitename.com
    Outgoing (SMTP) Server: mail.yourwebsitename.com

  1. Click "More Settings…".
    On the Internet E-mail Settings window, select the "Outgoing Server" tab.
    Select "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication".

    And click OK.

  1. Click Next

  1. Click on finish

  1. Click on SEND/RECEIVE menu » Choose Receive All
  2. Click on unread messages to read your mails
